Today, on International Day of Forests, we reflect on the crucial role forests play in sustaining life on our planet. Forests provide clean air, water, biodiversity, and livelihoods for hundreds of millions while serving as a key solution to avoid and mitigate further climate change. At Treevive, we are proud to contribute to these global efforts. As we pass the halfway mark of this Decade of Restoration, we reflect on all we’ve achieved together so far. We celebrate the partnerships that have enabled us to work on the restoration and protection of tropical forests across many countries.
We are pleased to present the Treevive Progress Report 2024: Advancing our journey towards creating impact (download), which highlights the milestones we reached, the challenges, and the opportunities ahead. In this Progress Report we reflect on the progress made and the opportunities that lie ahead. 2024 has strengthened our foundation and demonstrated the potential of scaling impactful solutions for tropical forest restoration and conservation. In the coming years we aim to accelerate our mission to conserve, restore, and manage at least 2 million hectares of tropical forests by 2030. With several projects ready for certification and a growing demand for high-quality carbon credits, our focus will be on securing investments and implementing impactful projects.
A significant acceleration of efforts is needed in the second half of this decade to address global climate, biodiversity, and social challenges adequately. We are confident in our approach, supported by strong partnerships, strong financial mechanisms, and developing standards that enhance integrity. These elements position us to deliver impact for climate, biodiversity, and local communities.
