Yesterday, Michel Schuurman took the stage at City & Financial Globalโs 2nd International Carbon Markets Summit in London. In his session on proving certainty for investors and corporate users of nature-based carbon credits, he highlighted the on-the-ground implications of stacking standards, ratings, principles, guidelines, and criteria to determine quality. He explained that entering in dialogue with developer and proponent about ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐ธ๐ฉ๐บ of certain decisions and choices provides more insights in the quality of a project than only assessing how certain aspects are addressed and what steps are taken.
