Lessons learned and ways forward: Treevive’s first year of work as forest carbon accelerator
We would like to invite you to join us on World Rainforest Day, 22nd June 2023, for a webinar to celebrate the first results that Treevive has made in restoring and protecting tropical forests worldwide. In this webinar, we share our first-year learnings in successfully connecting forest landscape projects with investors, and supporting project owners with funding and technical assistance. We also look ahead to how we aim to restore and sustainably manage two million hectares of tropical forests by 2030.
During this webinar, we will share our learnings from our first year of work, including how we successfully bridge the gap between forest landscape projects and investors seeking to fund them. And also, how we misjudged things, learned, and improved our way of thinking and working. We will show examples of how Treevive supports tropical forest project owners with funding and technical assistance to accelerate the development of their carbon assets, and how we guide companies and investors to invest in these projects. We have already engaged with the first investors and projects and are on our way to realizing our goal to restore, protect, and sustainably manage two million hectares of tropical forest landscapes by 2030.
We are pleased to inform you about our speakers:
Liesbeth Gort – Introduction on Treevive.
Eveline Trines – Building high quality forest carbon projects.
Toby Lewis-Donaldson – Investor perspective on forest carbon projects.
David Östby – The reality on the ground, in Mozambique.
Lisa Walker – Voluntary carbon market developments.
Michel Schuurman – Moderator.
Please join us June 22nd (at 15.00 CET) to learn more about our work and how we are contributing to the protection of forests worldwide.
